Position: Hearing Advocate - Boston, Massachusetts

The primary duty of the Social Security Hearing Advocate is to oversee the process of appealing SSI & SSDI cases for Healthcare Financial, Inc. (HFI) clients who have been denied at the 2nd “Reconsideration” Level. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university; legal (JD or paralegal certificate) and/or clinical background (RN, LPN).

Position: Hearings Advocate Supervisor - Remote - Connecticut Preferred

Job Overview

The Hearings Advocate Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of remote and on-site Attorneys, Non-Attorney Representatives and case development staff. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience; knowledgeable in all areas of Social Security Disability Law with extensive experience in practice at the hearings level. Attorney or Non-Attorney Representative eligible for direct fee payments preferred. Must be a team player, flexible, and able to change and adapt in a rapidly growing production environment.

  • Supervise a team of Hearing Advocates:

    • Monitor and manage production on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
    • Provide leadership and guidance to team
    • Conduct weekly one on one meetings
    • Conduct performance reviews - recommend salary increases
    • Manage performance and progressive discipline as needed
    • Handle hearings conflict management
    • Interview and guide hiring of new Advocates
  • Serve as business area expert in system and process development
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Must have excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Must be a team player with the ability to work in a large system environment requiring coordination and constant interaction with clients, government agencies and other team members
