It is the policy of NOSSCR to file or join amicus briefs only in support of parties advocating positions consistent with the interests of NOSSCR, and the disabled people we represent, at the merits briefing stage in the United States Supreme Court.
NOSSCR may file or join amicus briefs in the Supreme Court in support of the grant of certiorari in extraordinary cases that may have a profound impact on disabled persons or their representatives. Counsel seeking amicus support at the certiorari stage should contact NOSSCR at the earliest possible opportunity.
NOSSCR may assist counsel who have relevant cases pending before the Supreme Court with their briefs and oral arguments.
Requests for amicus support at the circuit court or district court level may be considered, but normally will be denied.
